We Invest in Responsibility for the Sake of the Environment

Jokioinen Wire Factory strongly emphasizes responsibility and environmental friendliness in its operations.

In the spring of 2020, we installed a solar power plant with 534 solar panels on the roof of our production facility, which is one of the largest solar power systems in Kanta-Häme.

This solar power plant produces approximately 150 MWh of clean electricity per year and at best covers up to 20 % of the factory’s annual electricity consumption.

In addition, in recent years the company has made significant investments in measures that improve the environment, such as enhancing wastewater treatment and developing production processes to be even more ecological.

The transition to renewable energy and the improvements in processes are part of Jokioinen Wire Factory’s efforts toward cleaner, sustainable domestic production. The company aims to contribute to steering the steel industry in a greener direction and to set an example in responsible manufacturing.
